One type of bird that's always difficult for me to photograph is a bird of prey. Usually I'm on a highway going too fast, or here in the UK, on a train that's going too fast. I also only usually see them flying here, not perched anywhere, so that makes it harder to photograph them, too, since I don't have the fanciest camera. My camera is more like a point and shoot with a great lens. So I was pretty excited when during a trip to Essex, I was able to get a somewhat decent photograph of a red kite in flight. They're pretty beautiful!
