Hooded Merganser (Lophodytes cucullatus)

In Canada, we have mergansers, and as I learned, that's exactly where the hooded merganser lives, except for this one in Regent Park's collection. They are pretty cool looking birds. I love their thin beaks that jut out from their full faces and heads. When they spread their crowns, they look quite impressive!
